Blogger Recognition Award…Woohoooo…!!!

Imagine my surprise when I logged on to my account like I usually do and while reading new posts and having a sip of water at the same time, I realized that I’d been nominated for an award. Holy shit!

This was big! Me, still fumbling like a brand new foal fresh out of it’s mother’s vagina, trying to gain some footing as I navigate this new space, was listed as someone’s top 5 favorite blogger!!!!!! Needless to say my laptop screen, keyboard and the surrounding areas were drenched with water! Someone has found order in my chaos and that is admirable, because I lead a very chaotic life. Okay let me just jump right in and say a heartfelt thank you to Who Nominated Me.

I am honored to be recognized with this award by someone I respect as a pro blogger (IMO), whose blogging content evokes such hope and confidence in it’s readers- in me. A voice of sage advice and so much more; I get comfortable under my sheets every time I visit This lady right here and delve into her work which covers mostly self development, resilience and working assiduously toward your goals. #BEABOSS!

Moving right along, My Best Piece of Advice to other bloggers, being the novice that I am, has to be, just be yourself. Don’t overthink this. Write what matters to you and whatever that is, love it, feel it, the passion will exude the screen. Find your niche; that way you will be able to produce authentic posts. Be friendly, be nice, engage other bloggers but don’t be pushy. Don’t shove your Blog down people’s throats. In the movie Field of Dreams there is a line that always stuck with me “if you build it they will come,” which to me means you have to put in the work to reap the benefits. Does that make any sense? Looking for a community ? The Daily Post is where it’s at.

Why did I started blogging? Hmmm, well, I was at a place in my life where my thoughts were stifling and weighing down on me. I kept ruminating on a ‘relationshit’ (I’ve kind of started a series where I will outline the entire relationship) that really changed my view on life, people, everything. I wanted a place to put all of my feelings, emotions, hurt, I wanted an outlet to scream at the top of my lungs. So I decided to let it all out in a blogging space. Since I’ve began though, my mind has been flooded with ideas on other things not relationship-specific to blog about -My life. As a bonus I get to read about the lives of so many other people. I have a new appreciation for the struggles I’ve experienced in life because they are not as unique to me as I thought.
