There is a famous short story by Leo Tolstoy called “Three Questions”

In this tale, a king sets out to discover the answer to three pressing questions:

What is the most important action?

Who is the most important person?

When is the most important time?

After deflecting suggestions from the wisest men in the kingdom, the king sought answers from a certain wise hermit who lived in the woods.

After an enigmatic exchange with the hermit and a surprising encounter with an assassin, the king finally learned the answers to his questions.
