“There is no one alive who is youer than you”

Liar, liar pants on fire, If you tell me that you have never compared yourself to anyone else, wanted to be like somebody else or jealous, even a teenie weenie bit, of someone else. There are times we just aren’t pleased or satisfied with the person we are.

We’ve all, at some point or another in our lives, been there. As much as we hate to admit it, I think it takes us a little while before we truly accept ourselves for who we are.

We want to fix the buck teeth, erase the freckles, straighten the crooked nose, plump the thin lips, inflate the flat ass, augment the small boobs, change the penis, change the vagina- everything. Essentially turning ourselves into a completely different human being.

That is why I love this quote so much! It reinforces how unique I am and that is all that should really matter. There is no one alive who is me-er than me *boom*.

That is what I think sets us apart as humans. While “always there will be greater or lesser persons than ourselves,” you are you.

Love you, accept you, with all your faults and idiosyncrasies that make you the unique being that you are.
